In your sample data, you will find predefined business units and channels. Business units represent separate departments or divisions within your travel organization, while channels represent the various means through which you sell your products and services (online, in-person, via partners, etc.). Each business unit and channel has a unique set of policies and workflows assigned to them in the sample data for you to study and replicate for your business's unique needs.
The sample data includes a range of suppliers and services. Suppliers can be hotels, airlines, or local tour operators, each offering one or more services. Services can range from hotel rooms to guided tours or other travel experiences. Each supplier and service in the sample data comes with comprehensive detail, allowing you to understand how these entities are structured and connected within the system.
Packages in Kaptio Travel are pre-built travel experiences that include various services from different suppliers. The sample data will contain a selection of such packages, showcasing how you can bundle services, manage pricing, and define availability for your offerings.
In the sample data, there are already defined customer and travel agent accounts. They serve as examples of how to manage your customer base within Kaptio Travel. You will see how customer information, travel preferences, and previous bookings are stored and managed. Similarly, the travel agent accounts will show you how you can manage your B2B relations with various travel agencies.
Kaptio Travel includes a workflow for managing trips and itineraries. In the sample data, you'll find examples of trips at different stages of this workflow. This will help you understand the trip lifecycle and how each stage interacts with various components of the system. In addition, the system's Lightning pages have been configured to reflect each stage of the trip, providing you with practical examples of how to tailor the system to your needs.
The Itinerary Builder in Kaptio Travel allows you to construct complex travel itineraries quickly. Sample itineraries in the data will demonstrate how you can use the Itinerary Builder to arrange services, manage transportation connections, and adjust itinerary details based on your customer's needs.
The sample data includes examples of 3rd party configurations, such as connections to Global Distribution Systems (GDS) for flights or to payment gateways for processing transactions.
