Welcome to your onboarding guide for Kaptio's certified Amadeus integration! This guide will lead you through the process, from understanding our partnership to configuring your systems for successful integration. Let's get started!
1. Introduction
Our certification with Amadeus gives Kaptio customers the ability to use the PNR Import functionality in both test (PDT) and production (SECO) environments. However, please note that while the search cost and book functions are available, these are only certified in the test (PDT) environment and currently, there is no user interface to support this functionality.
2. Agreement and Coverage
Kaptio has a "Client Application Provider" (CAP) agreement with Amadeus. In order for you to use this integration, you will need to apply for a "Client Application User" (CAU) agreement.
Coverage of the Kaptio-Amadeus agreement extends to the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, South Africa, and Australia. If your operations are based in a different country, we will need to consult with Amadeus about extending the current agreement and please be aware that additional costs may apply.
3. Customer Requirements
For successful integration, you must:
- Have an existing agreement with Amadeus and be able to access the Amadeus system with your own Office ID.
- Contact your Amadeus account manager and:
- Request a "Web Services User Questionnaire", indicating that you will be initially importing PNRs only.
- Discuss the potential costs for applying for web services credentials.
- Request the activation of web services for both Test (PDT) and Production (SECO) environments.
- Request access to the Test (PDT) environment, in addition to the Production (SECO) environment.
- Provide a list of users requiring access to the Test environment.
- Share the following URL with the account manager for access: **https://acceptance.admin.sellingplatformconnect.amadeus.com/login/**.
Your account manager should assist in filling out most of the form.
Remember, without access to the Test (PDT) environment, we cannot retrieve test PNRs. This must be arranged before any configuration starts.
4. Staging Configuration
Once we receive your web service credentials and confirmation of access to the Test (PDT) environment, we can begin the configuration process:
- We will configure the staging/test org with your Amadeus test web services credentials.
- We will validate connectivity and successful retrieval using at least two test PNRs.
- Once our tests are complete, we will notify you to start your own testing.
5. Production Configuration
After you have completed testing in the staging environment, we will proceed with configuring the production org (SECO):
- We will request one or two live PNRs to validate connectivity and successful retrieval.
- Once our tests are complete, we will notify you to start retrieving live PNRs.
By following these steps, we aim to achieve a smooth and effective integration process. We look forward to working together!
